Avocado Toast has been quite the trend for my generation, almost to the point of ridicule. We are told that our financial woes may simply disappear if we just stop spending our money on expensive avocado toast. Of course, avocado toast does not have to be expensive when you make it at home and it is quite delicious. This avocado toast recipe is also topped with tofu to add a perfect balance of carbs, fats, and protein!

In a mixing bowl, spoon out your avocado and mash up with a fork. Add salt, garlic powder, and onoin powder. Mix well (you can adjust the seasonings to taste) and set aside. After that, place your toast in the toaster for it to turn a golden brown. Then chop up your tofu into small cubes and place on a frying pan with olive oil. Begin to saute the tofu, adding a pinch of salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Feel free to add any other seasonings you would like. Once the tofu has browned (approx. 5 minutes later), take your toasted bread slices and smear the avocado spread over them. Then place the cubed tofu pieces on top and serve with your favorite hot sauce. Enjoy!
